Simeon participates in the construction of the Vatican Chapels at the Venice Biennale of Architecture

The Vatican returns to the Venice Biennale of Architecture (26 May – 25 November 2018). The project marks a return to the origins: the indissoluble union between art and faith. The structures' design has been entrusted to renowned international architects around the world. Simeon will build one of the 10 chapels housed in the pavilion on San Giorgio Island, designed by the Paraguayan Javier Corvalán. These chapels will represent moments of meditation along a strongly symbolic path. Not merely spiritual. The structure, "Wood and Sun", is a multilayer double-cased semi-cylinder timber, which sustains and suspends itself with 3 steel supports that are perfectly integrated with the surrounding environment: the grove that will house all the buildings.
