RESTORATION WITH MAGNIFICENT VIEW
It is a project of restoration of a historic building on the banks of the Seine, now used as offices. Our intervention focused on the reconstruction of the two domes: previously opaque with metallic cladding as per the Parisian construction tradition, now fully covered with glass. The architects, in fact, have decided to place two presidential meeting rooms on the top of the building, with a magnificent 360 degree view of the city.
The structural carpentry faithfully responds to the architectural design that recalls the historical style. The infill panels are curved and screen-printed with a downwardly degrading pattern, so as to maintain a strong relationship with the outside but limit the glare and overheating phenomena.
Next to the main building a minor service building has been built, also characterized by a large opening towards the outside: the facades have steel structures to limit the dimensions as much as possible and there are large glass covers.
